PUPPIES!

so as you may already know we got 2 puppies! one, Bravo, is a shih-tzu/ bichon mix. we went with our minds set that we were gonna get him and we did so. but as for Sid, it was a different story... he is a chihuahua/poodle mix and i know when you think of chihuahua you think of an scrawny ugly little shorthaired dog, but Sid is the opposite. he looks like a jack russel terrier and maybe even an EXTREMELY minature lab. he is very small (7lbs and not getting much bigger) and he does have the chihuahua short tan hair. when we went we just fell in love with him and couldn't leave him. and then the owner goes on to tell us that he is half price so we really couldn't leave him! here are some pics and hopefully you guys can meet them soon! ;)

Sid: he is so brave and the he is the watchdog. he will watch everything you do and figure out what exactly it is that you are doing. he is so smart!Bravo: he is the fluffiest dog you could ever meet. he will snuggle up with you and he cries when he can't get up the stairs :) since he is so fluffy he gets hot easily so his favorite spot to sleep it completly flat on the tile. Bravo isn't as smart as the Sid, but hes getting there... i see potential. lol

now here are some funny pics of both of them...
like i said, bravo gets hot :)

we had just given Bravo a bath

North Carolina......... :)

Well we just got back from the best little place on earth.... Lake Gaston, NC. I love it there and I never want to go home. There I het to see my family that I really never get to see, so I like it. I see people from Florida and New Jersey. This year was fun. We had some scares, and fun times. My favorite part probally would be was when we would go swimming off the dock in the late afternoon. The slide was fun and.... it was just funtastic. I hate that I have to wait a year to go back, but maybe the Thanksgiving idea will work out.... maybe. I can't wait to see all of you guys next year!

WATCH OUT PHILLI!

Every year we have a class trip. This year, me being in 7th grade, we went to Philidelphia! So the bus ride is about 5 and a half hours including our reststop and traffic, so that meant we had to leave at 5:30am. My friend slept over the night before to make things easier. In the morning we stopped for a much needed Dunkin' Donuts stop. My mom got coffee and me and Brooke got french vinella coolatas. (noncafinated) They were goooood. The bus is always one of my favorite parts of everything.... I don't know why I just think they are fun. I think I might of fallen asleep for a little while, which was nessicary because for the next couple of days we got the bare minimal amount of sleep. Once we finally got there we took a tour of where the all the delegates of the constitutional convention met and made the Decleration of Independece. I must admit that that tour was probably no different than social studies class back at home. In my mind the olny interesting part about that was I got to see exactly where Geroge Washington sat, chair and all. After that bore, it was lunch time. And what else can you have for lunch when you're in Philli besides for a Philli Cheese Steak. ( and yes it deserves to be capitolized ) It was AMAZING! The cheese perfectly melted and the steak perfectly cooked with a big delicious bun around it. And what made it better was the supreme fries on the side...... delectiable! After lunch, we took a tour of a really cool museam. It was a lot of stuff about not judging people, and that we are all different. There were some really cool exibits. Then we went to see a show that was a one man show with a movie going on around her. It was interesting, but a little weird. Then the last thing we did in the city was see the Liberty Bell. It was really cool..., but I guess it was not the original, but the forst molding of the original, and that the crack was hand made...... I don't really know but it was cool.

Then we went to the baseball game. It was the Philidelphia Blue Rox against some other team that escapes my mind. I didn't really watch the game, just hung out. But, the most exciting thing at the game was that I sang America the Beautiful with about 18 other people at the beginning of the game. We ate dinner there and then headed back to the hotel.

All the kids had groups of 4 or 5 and the kids had the rooms to their selves.... YES! Oh, and did I mention my mom came as one of the chaperones?? So we got back at around 10:00 and got into our pajamas brushed our teeth.... and stayed up! Not for long though because we were really tired. The principals put tape on our doors so he knows if we snuck out and we have to unplug our phones because some kids are rebels. hehe. We got up in the morning at 6:45am and took showers and had breakfast. Then our bus went to a museaum where we saw a omni show about the Tour de France ( and from french class I now know that de means "of" ) It was very interesting, I learned many new things that I didn't already know. After that we spent almost an hour at a little brain teaser desk. The lady gave us riddles, puzzles, mazes, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Then the last thing we did was the zoo. And I think that that was my favorite stop. We saw giraffes, bears, monkeys, reptiles, alligators, birds, and some creepy things too. I also got dippin dots there...... more yummm!

Then was the long ride home. We were wild the first half of the bus ride to the reststop where we ate dinner. On the bus I made some new friends, perfected some racing games, and braided girls hair. The trip was a lot of fun and i can't wait until we go to Washington D.C next year!!!!! :)
P.S- I will add some pics but I can't figure out this stupid computer so I will wait until my dad gets home from D.C

UPDATES

I know it has been a long time since I have updated my blog, so I am just going to tell you everything in one big post....

1.) Today is the last day of track!!! At the beggining of the season remember how I said I didn't like it when I ran, well that has changed. I have grown to love track. The meets are really fun and I got to know all of the girls. The coaches now know me and know my events. I will defentaly be doing track next year!

Here are a list of my events and my PR's (personal records)
  • 100 meters- time: 14.8
  • 200 meters- time: 31.2
  • long jump- distance: 11'7
  • triple jump- distance: 26.6

Those are pretty good and this is only my first year ever doing track. I worked really hard at the 100 to get into the 14's because the really good older girls get in the low 14's and 13's. For the 200 I got my PR a day that I was sick.... that doesn't really make any sense to me, but I did it. I started doing long jump just to try a field event (and to get out of running that practice) and I ended up loving it. I was usually scoring (that means that my distance counts in our overall score) so that is good. And lastly the tripple jump. I love the tripple jump! It is so much fun. What you do is run up to the board, then you hop off of one foot, landing on the same foot, take a big step, then make a big jump landing in the pit on both feet. You have to do it really fast and far. Oh.. and the coach put me in the 400 once ( I don't know why) and in that i got 78 seconds. He was pretty impressed so I was happy with it. So that is my track story.

2.) My birthday was amazing! I got up in the morning to come down to my seat set up with the breakfast of choice, (waffles) and presents. I opened a couple of my presents because I couldn't wait. They were clothes and sandles. (which got stolen...oups) Then I had to go to Jake's baseball game :( so I invited one of my friends to come with me. We went to the game then went back to my house. Once she left, me and my mom went to this new fondu restraunt to get some ideas for my fondu party. It was really cool and somewhat helpful. So then we went back home and I had to go do my workout, so my mom cooked dinner. I asked for her really good tomato bisque. yummmmm! When i came back, my dinner was set up and so were my presents! We ate dinner then had cake. And while we were out my mom and I got a Friendly's Hunka Chunka Peanutbutter Fudge icream cake. More yummmmm! Then it was present time!!! I opened some more of my little presents, then came the big one. I was asking fo and ipod touch so my parents got me a gift certificate to the apple store. With my other money I had enough to buy one! It is probally the coolest thing that I have ever owned. I won't go into detail about how amazing it is because that would take forever. hehe. So overall my birthday was awesome!!!!!!

3.) So now that I have convinced my parents to get a dog, the hard part has arrived. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING! We keep finding new breeds that we like and it is really frustrating. Two of my friends got dogs from this one rescue place, but whenever I look they don't have puppies. I know it is a little early to be looking for a puppy now but it is still frustrating. We are getting the puppy in the 4th week of July. ( that's the week after North Carolina) So I have time... IM SO EXCITED!!!!! The criteria for our dog is......

  • from 10-15 lbs. ( it could be a little heavier, but I need to be able to hold it)
  • a snuggly puppy
  • we prefer hypo-allergenic (poodles are)
  • we also want to try to rescue it
  • and I want it to have brown on it, but that's just me
  • a girl

And the name is another big problem. My favorite is Boca, but my dad says we can't name him that because that is where old people live in Florida....no offense to anybody. Me and my dad made a list of other cute names....

  1. Ace
  2. Ajax
  3. Apolo
  4. Aries
  5. Axle
  6. Bailey
  7. Baja
  8. Bandit
  9. Blotto
  10. Bits
  11. Blue
  12. Boca
  13. Boots
  14. Bravo
  15. Cash
  16. Chewy
  17. Chip
  18. Cola
  19. Cubby
  20. Domino
  21. Dusty
  22. Zeus

Tell me your favorite!!

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

Well it's my birthday tomorrow and I am soooo excited. But that is not the real reason I am putting up this post.... I need help thinking of games to play at my birthday party. At my party we are going to eat dinner then have fondue, fountian and everything!! Then I don't know what to do. It is a sleep over so it's going to be all night. My dad said Aunt Patti you're really good at thinking of games so if you, or anybody has any fun games for eleven, 12/13 year olds, please leave a comment on some ideas. I really need some help, thank you!!!

NEW SPORT, NEW CIRCUMSTANCES

So remember when I told the story of modified soccer, and how much work it was?? Well that was easy compared to what I am doing now! TRACK. Running everyday, problay at least 2 miles, preparing for events. I am doing the 100 and I think that's it. I swear by the time track is over I will have a six pack. Today, we did suicides around the 4oo, sprinting the 100, jogging back the 50, sprinting the 100, jogging back the 50. That was a lot of work, but today was easy. Friday's are hard. Friday we did probaly over 3 miles sprinting half of that. After practice I love track, while I am running............ I just think about how much I love it afterwards, that keeps me going.

P.S- Leslie, I could really go for some of your amazing mashed potatoes. In North Carolina I am requesting that for your dinner night, you make your mashed potatoes. Your's are so good!

P.S.S- Notice my grammer, its good.
